What is the best way to clean your computer, before you sell it?

I want to rid all personal info from my laptop what would be the best way? Set it back to factory settings or use the ccleaner.com drive wiper overwrite it has Gutmann 35 passes, or use them both to be safe? Would appreciate any help.
