I'm not interested in social bookmarking. I have three computers, 3 different browsers on each one, and sometimes use the library computer. I want a free online bookmarking website that can handle imports from opera, google, firefox, chrome and google. Sometimes just importing an HTML file doesn't work on these sites. And synchronizing would be nice - or a fast way to add bookmarks that doesn't take forever. Operas is my main browser and I have well over 1000 bookmarks. Some sites don't work with Opera. Malwarebytes detected a malware program, and after putting it in quarantine my computer won't work right?

I'm using a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7. A Malwarebytes window popped up with a file name and said it was malware and needed to be quarantined or I could choose to leave it alone. I went ahead and clicked quarantine, but now, files can't open. Example: Any program (except Firefox now and Malwarebytes itself) and even some file folders I click bring up a box that says Open With and then has recommended files and other files. The example I'll use is Internet Explorer. When I try to open it, it brings up that box. IE is one of the open with options, but when I click it, it brings up another box that says iexplore.exe run, save, cancel. I chose run first, but IE still won't do anything and the dialog starts again. I chose save once but it said iexplore.exe already exists, overwrite? I did nothing first and then went ahead and overwrote it, but IE is still bringing up the Open With box. Firefox also did this, but after I went into Program Files and clicked the file there, it allowed me to choose Firefox in the Open With box and runs fine. Malwarebytes also did the same thing. I haven't tried anything else, and I really have no idea what's going on. The file that was quarantined I believe had updater in the file name, but I really have no idea what it was. Is there any way to fix this?

Why won't my computer open any files?

I tried to install WoW on my computer. Everything started out fine, until it got to the most recent update for Vanilla. Now every time I try to open a file, it takes me to and "Open With" window. When I try to open Internet explorer with it, it tries to make me save the file, i try, but then it tells me I can't overwrite the previous file. And when I hit cancel, It closes out of internet explorer entirely. Same with Firefox, except when I hit cancel it actually lets me stay on the browser. I have the K-Lite Codec pack on here, but for every format Windows media tells me that It can't find the correct extension. I don't know what to do or how to fix this and it is really bugging me.

My laptop won`t load after i dropped a jar on it! help!?

You can do the shift-delete thing each time, or you can right-click on the Recycle Bin, select properties, and choose "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted". Then you won't have to do the extra shift-key step. Each time you delete something, it will be gone permanently.

Ok, so recently my vista home edition installation started refusing to boot normally and I'm now stuck using safe mode. The startup recovery can't fix it and I never got a windows vista install disc with my PC. So I brought windows 7 home edition and was planning to overwrite my vista installation with it. But there is a problem, it won't let me install it in safe mode. I would try a normal install instead of an upgrade install but I have 200gb of Cartoon and Anime that I don't want to lose and have nowhere to back them up to. So my question is: Is there a way to force windows 7 to install in vistas safe mode, or to make it think that vista is running normally?. I greatly appreciate it if someone can help me.

Reinstalling Windows XP new.?

Alright, my windows XP is infected with a virus that cant be gotten rid of by antivirus software. aka. ive tried everything i could. The only way to get rid of it is to reinstall windows new. I only have one partition i can install it on. It said if you install it in a partition that already has another operating system, it could make the computer not run properly. I basically want to overwrite it and delete everything and install windows new. How do i do this? As I've said, I've went into the setup from boot and it said i have a damaged operating system. Red Dead Redemption Disk problems?

So i was playing red dead redemption in the guest room and it was working fine until i switched over to the living room T.V..(the XBOX turned off then back on when i put in the hdmi cord) and the game started .It only got to the very beginning which is when the chamber is being shot and it shows the rock-star purple and orange emblems, after that it just goes black, i haven't sat there and waited really long to see if it continues so i just tried again but it did the same thing. i took out the CD and there was a huge scratch that made a perfect circle going around near the edges of the CD. Im guessing since it was a perfect circle that it was scratched inside the XBOX i'm afraid that if i put in another CD that it will scratch it too. When ever I take pictures, I dump all of them to my hard drive and clear the SD card. It may have something to do with the settings on your camera, but if you dump to a hard drive or thumb drive, then you can not lose pictures.

It depends on whether the Ubuntu's installation program automatically formats the drive you're installing it to as part of the installation process. If so, then unless you put a new drive into the computer and install Ubuntu onto that, or partition your existing drive using an on-the-fly drive partitioning program (such as PartitionMagic), then there's no way to save the existing data. The reason for that is because Ubuntu uses the ext3 or ext4 file system while Windows uses either FAT32 or NTFS--none of which are directly compatible with each other. Ubuntu can read FAT32 and NTFS file systems, and I think you could install it onto a FAT32 or NTFS file system, but it's generally considered a bad idea (especially for FAT32 because of the limitations of the file system--NTFS isn't as bad, but it's not as good as ext3 or ext4). GPS overwrites tracks before 100% full?

i have a garmin etrex hcx gps and it keeps overwriting my tracks. you would think it would fill the memory up until 100% full but the last couple tracks i have made it starts overwriting at about 70-80%. i have unclicked the wrap when full button but it still is overwriting before its 100% full. its really frustrating casue i dont know when it will start deleting my tracks and sometimes i need the track to find my way back on a hike. would it have something to do with the memory? i have a 1gb card in it right now but it can hold 2. any help is appreciated.

So this is how it happened. Many years back we had a Gateway computer with a 30 GB hard drive and the OS was Windows ME. One day it would not load properly so I decided to reinstall the OS only. Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem. So I ended up ordering Windows XP and formatted the disk. Tried reinstalling Windows ME while waiting for new operating system but install only went to 20 percent. Never messed with the disk again until this year to see if it still spins and what not. The real question is, do you think by trying to install ME that last time, that it is possible the disk was overwritten? I've recovered data from a formatted disk before but this is a different case. Also, if you know of any software (free or $) that recovers data let me know. Thanks.

I think your problem is FileMode.OpenOrCreate. That will leave some of whatever was in the file before still there if it already exists and what you overwrite it with is shorter than it was before. Try using FileMode.Create instead.

I let my (dishonest, douche) friend (whom I wrongfully trusted) borrow my GTA IV and he returns it to me 6 months later in less than than average condition, its got circle scratches around it, not deep though, just to where it looks like his xbox probably gave it the scratches from playing too much, or as if it were an old used game, but still looks playable... So I bring it home in his Krash Bandikoot computer CD case because he lost my case, and I put it in my 360 and it wants to play it as a DVD on the dashboard. So I hit play and it comes up with the error message on a white screen "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console." It's not my Xbox that's the problem, it plays all my other games and movies perfectly fine, it's just this single game. I confronted him about it and he told me that it's mine and he didn't scratch it, it was like that originally and he didn't do anything to it (which is major BS because it had not a single scratch on it when I first lent it to him.) So I want to know, did he scratch it and that's the reason why it's not playing, or did he do something to it to where it wouldn't play, like try to overwrite something on to it (if that's even possible) because this game really doesn't look that messed up, just light scratches like I said...

Puppy's first night at home, am I supposed to leave it alone...?

Basically all of the dog books I've read have told me to leave the puppy alone on it's first night at home to get used to a new place etc and even if it cries not to go and comfort it or it will become clingy and overly attached to you, but my friend said that he stayed with his puppy on it's first night to help toilet train it (in case it needed to go during the night) for the first couple of nights until it got used to toilet training, so what would be the appropriate thing to do here, stay up with the puppy to toilet train it properly or leave it until morning? Where i need to ground my audio amplifier to if my dry cell battery is grounded to the car body?

i have a 2 awg power wire running from the front battery to the dry cell battery in the trunk. The dry cell battery in the back is grounded to the body of the car? i had the power wire from the dry cell battery in back going to my amplifier as well as the ground from the amplifier going to the battery but the red light on the amp comes on even though the emblem on the amp lights up is it not grounded right? are the rca plug ins not right from the cd player i have the plugged into line in on the amplifier? i have an 80 amp cylindrical fuse holder from the front battery going to the back and a 150 amp flat fuse block before the power wire in back hits the dry cell battery? could someone possibly help me out my set up is supposed to be for up to 2600 watts and i bought a new amplifier thinking my amplifier was bad but their is no way a freshly opened amplifier could be bad?

Pregnant with mother-in-law problems....!?

Im 36wks 5days pregnant with my 1st. Firstly let me say that I absolutely love my mother-in-law to bits! I really do! I couldn't ask for a better mother-in-law! She is great! Honest! But... she has been on my back since we announced our pregnancy about what theme we want to decorate the babies nursery in because she wants to go and spend money and buy stuff - like mobiles, linnen, wall decor etc. I have told her several times that we are waiting till the baby is born to see if its male or female (we didn't find out!) and then we will decide on an appropriate theme. I also told her that as the parents, we will decorate first and then she can buy stuff later on. I don't want to have to display things just because she has given them to us and I would like the opportunity to decorate with my husband before she goes and fills the room herself. At one point, a Pooh Bear theme was mentioned (but was NEVER definate) and bang... she went and got all this Pooh Bear stuff. Now we'd like to do flowers and butterflies for a girl or trucks and aeroplanes for a boy so all the Pooh Bear stuff will only get packed away. She has told me that as soon as the baby is born she will be going to markets and shops to buy stuff. I REALLY do appreciate it and I can't be happier that my baby will be so loved by her, but I guess i'm feeling as though a life long dream I have had to decorate my own babies nursery is being taken away from me. I am desperately trying to recover these files using data recovery programs, but all they seem to be able to find is Jpegs, Mpeg and all other common file types. When they search a drive they don't seem to list every single file type. Why can data recovery programs recover lost movies and images but not specialised file types?
