We downloaded SUPER AntiSpyware, and now can't open desktop icons. What should we do?

The program worked beautifully, but now whenever we try to open Rosetta Stone, for instance, or other programs, it says "application not found." I tried to open the antispyware program itself to un-quarantine the harmless programs, and even it won't open -- it says it's an .exe file, and it tries to "select an appropriate program to open this file" (?) Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly apprecitated. Thanks!
