Get data from formatted PS3 hard drive?

My PS3 hard drive was playing up so I connected it to my PC (Win7) but I think I accidentally overwrote the MBR so now the ps3 wants to format it. I did a quick format thinking I could use some undelete software but it doesn't find anything. Is there any way to get my data back? Thanks for reading.
