On Xbox 360, is there a way to block everyone that is not your friend from sending you messages?

i am sick of people that i dont know on xbox live sending me messages telling me i suck and i have no skill and telling me the bruins suck (my black ops emblem the bruins emblem) and i dont want it anymore so can i block the non-friends from being able to send me messages
