On FFX-2, do you ALWAYS get new game plus every time you beat the normal new game?

so when you beat it originally you get new game plus, right? i was just wondering if every time you beat the game do you get new game plus, cause i accidentally overwrote me new game + file but was in the 1st chapter so it's ok. i could just beat the original game again from my chapter 5 file and get new game plus option?
